Need information on how to make your bike look really good for the road? Follow these tips for that sparkle and shine…

Recommended products:

Harley® Sunwash

Harley-Davidson® Wheel & Tire Cleaner

Harley® Glaze Polish and Sealant

Pre-Wash-

Make sure not to wear jewelry, watches, rings or anything that may rub against the bike.

After a long ride, don’t wash your bike! The hot engine and pipes could burn you and also it can make waxes & cleaners act differently.

Rinse off the bike first if there is mud or heavy soil. Cleaning dirt on bike can scratch the paint.

Caution: Old sponges can hold dirt.

The Wash-

We recommend using Harley® Sunwash. (Be sure to use as directed). This product can be used in direct sunlight.

Rinse bike thoroughly from top to bottom.

When drying your bike, be sure to get any water puddles that seem to settle.

Tip: For excellent drying, you can use a leaf blower, but make sure it is clean of any debris.

The Once Over-

If water beads into small droplets, you will not have to polish your bike, but if you notice water sheets or forms oblong droplets, you may need a polish job.

The Polish & Seal-

If using Harley® Glaze Polish & Sealant, follow the directions.

You cannot use this in direct sunlight, especially if the air is humid.

Use a soft cloth to apply.

As a must, use a soft cloth for buffing.

When finished polishing, let the bike stand in the shade for several hours.

Now since your bike is ready to ride, be sure to take a long trip to show it off!
